Ann Vandersteel and Michael Yon discussed China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) during the Dec. 6 episode of “Right Now with Ann Vandersteel” on Brighteon.TV. The host described the BRI as a tool to further the spread of communism.
Vandersteel noted how the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) intends to dominate the world through the BRI, despite its seemingly acceptable partnership with the globalist World Economic Forum (WEF). Given this, Vandersteel said the BRI is not just about the “takeover and takedown of America” – but the “furtherance of communism” and profiteering.
According to the New York-based Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) think tank, the BRI – also called the New Silk Road – “was originally devised to link East Asia and Europe through physical infrastructure.” It continued: “In the decade since, the project has expanded to Africa, Oceania and Latin America – significantly broadening China’s economic and political influence.”
The initiative is not without concerns, however. “The U.S. shares the concern of some in Asia that the BRI could be a Trojan horse for China-led regional development and military expansion,” CFR noted.
The think tank said French President Emmanuel Macron has called for prudence over the BRI. During a 2018 trip to China, he cautioned that the BRI could make partner countries “vassal states” under Beijing.
Yon mentioned that China had already invested $1.7 billion in the coastal city of Haifa in Israel. According to Reuters, the new Bay Port at Haifa that opened in September 2021 is operated by Shanghai International Port Group. This investment, the outlet added, would enable larger classes of cargo ships carrying 18,000 containers or more to dock in Israel.
Vandersteel then asked Yon, a well-traveled combat correspondent, if China was working together with Israel – a question he answered in the affirmative. He recounted a discussion he had with a retired officer of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) he befriended during his travel in India.
Yon shared his talk with this retired IDF Special Forces officer that centered on Israel and China’s foreign relations. The military officer remarked that China was ascending, while America is collapsing. Given this, the IDF officer said Israel was only establishing ties with China for survival. (Related: China is using the Israel-Palestine conflict to sideline the U.S. on the international stage.)
According to Yon, the American government is already captured – just like the Canadian government. “It’s a hybrid war, and that didn’t just start with the [Wuhan coronavirus vaccine]; it’s been going on for years and it’s been slow,” he said.
“They are setting conditions. It’s all about setting conditions for success; setting conditions for either your success or for the failure of your enemy, or both. And they are doing both – setting conditions for success for themselves and failure for us.”
Vandersteel ultimately commented that the BRI is going to be critical for the world, especially with America’s impending collapse. The “Right Now” host added that communism has been knocking at America’s door for quite some time, and that the U.S. government is complicit in facilitating their plan.
